Aquatic Invasive Species

What is an Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS)?

Aquatic Invasive Species are organisms that are not native to their current location. Some examples include plants, animals, insects, or other things such as bacteria. When AIS enters the new environment it can harm the ecosystem. We are here to help! Below you will find information about AIS in the area, what to do if you find it and how to inspect and decontaminate your equipment. With the proper measures, we can keep our lakes safe and clean!
